Introduction to Ayurveda
You have probably noticed things have been warming up around here at Sol Cleanse, we have just launched our N E W warm cleanse which we are thrilled to be able to deliver to your doorstep.
For some of use, especially this time of year, our bodies are craving warmth in our internal and external world. Warmth not only provided in physical forms, but warmth delivered through energetic means. You may have seen a few things popping up on our social media channels and website about Ayurveda, as our new products and projects are being developed around these ancient philosophies.
What is Ayurveda?
We will let Deepak Chopra (a.k.a world-famous Doctor and Ayurveda advocate) introduce you to this ‘Science of Life’
“Thousands of years before modern medicine provided scientific evidence for the mind-body connection, the sages of India developed Ayurveda, which continues to be one of the world’s most sophisticated and powerful mind-body health systems. More than a mere system of treating illness, Ayurveda is a science of life (Ayur = life, Veda = science or knowledge). It offers a body of wisdom designed to help people stay vibrant and healthy while realising their full human potential” (Deepak Chopra).
The three Ayurvedic Doshas
Ayurveda works three mind-body types, used to develop a personalised approach to health. This approach to health provides the practitioner and patient to identify optimal choices about diet, exercise, supplements and lifestyle practices to help bring their body back to balance.
The three mind-body types are;
- Vata (ether + air)
- Pitta (fire + water)
- Kapha (water + earth)
We have created a free quiz for you to help you distinguish your Dosha and which one of our organic cleanses is best suited to your result.
After all, holism must always be favoured when approaching health, as our bodies are more intelligent and reactive than we will ever truly understand.
