Nut Free + Date Free Goji & Orange Bliss Balls

Bliss balls are definitely our go to when we are after a little something after lunch or when that 3 pm slump rolls around and we need a natural pick me up on hand. However, it can be hard to find a bliss ball recipe that is nut and date free, as nuts and dates often provide the base of most balls. Although these foods are healthy, many people do not agree with such foods, leaving them feeling bloated and heavy. So to help more of you out there with nut allergies and date sensitivity these balls of bliss will go down a treat, plus they are perfect for the kid’s lunchboxes. Well, that’s if you don’t eat them first!

The great thing about this recipe is that it can serve as a base for any flavour you wish to create, so simply omit the goji and orange zest for such varieties like; cacao, salted caramel using our Organic Salted Caramel Superfood Latte Powder with dried figs or try adding dried blueberries with lemon zest. Ingredient Highlight

Sunflower Seeds

They supply a significant amount of vitamin E, magnesium and selenium which is essential for brain health, cholesterol, nervous system support, blood pressure regulation, thyroid health, as well as, cardiovascular disease and cancer protection.

Goji Berries

A rich source of fibre, antioxidants and trace minerals these little berries contain incredible nutrients to help fight disease, maintain a healthy weight and improve your digestion. In addition to this, goji berries are actually high in protein (surprising isn’t it) and they contain up to 500 times the amount of Vitamin C of oranges.

doTERRA Wild Orange Essential Oil

Cold pressed from the peel, Wild Orange is one of our favourite essential oils due to its energising aroma and multiple health benefits. Maple Syrup

Vanilla Powder

Nut Free, Date Free Goji & Wild Orange Bliss Balls

Makes 12 balls


2 cups sunflower seeds, ground

½ cup desiccated coconut + extra to coat

6 drops wild orange doTERRA essential oil

½ cup dried goji berries

3 tbsp organic maple syrup

2 tbsp coconut milk

2 tbsp coconut oil

½ tsp vanilla powder

Pinch of sea salt


  1. Place all of the ingredients (excluding the goji berries) in a high powered blender, blend until combined.
  2. Transfer the mixture into a medium sized mixing bowl and add the goji berries, stir with a wooden spoon to combine.
  3. Pour the remaining ½ cup coconut onto a plate
  4. Begin to divide mixture into 12 even-sized balls, rolling them in the coconut to coat.
  5. Place them in an airtight container and store them in the fridge for up to a week. We love to make a double batch and store them in the freezer too.
