Celebrating our differences – the Custom Cleanse

At Sol Cleanse we acknowledge everyone as individuals with their own unique requirements. Everyone has different body types, constitutions, lifestyles, preferences, level of wellbeing, cleanse experience… because of this we have created a range of cleanses to suit everyone from the newbie to the seasoned cleanser and everything in between.

But we also take that one step further and have a completely customisable option available too – our Custom Cleanse. When you select to do a custom cleanse you get to choose all your preferred elixirs from the Sol Cleanse Menu. Make your selection based on your favourite flavours from your last cleanse experience or your specific dietary requirements, or make selections to create a cleanse that just suits your needs perfectly.

To give you an idea of what a custom cleanse might look like we call on our Director’s to share their custom cleanse picks, and why they selected them.

Director’s Pick

At the moment with my cleanses I like creating something that feels like relatively normal “meals” – just a bit lighter and more nutritionally dense – and including a selection of more savoury options. I also try to minimise my sugar (including fructose) intake, so my selection below feels like a good balance for me.

For breakfast I would select to have our “Strength” green smoothie – this provides me with a bit of extra energy for running around after my daughter as it includes banana and chia seeds which are great for stamina. For lunch I would have our “Dreamtime” soup which is a delicious and nourishing blended vegetable soup that includes nuts, so provides plenty of sustenance. For dinner I love having a “Prana” vegan broth which is a satisfying savoury elixir that is nice and light for the evening.

In addition to my “meals” I love starting the day with our “Energise” lemon elixir. It’s great for boosting the metabolism and I love the fresh feeling it gives me. I have also added in our “Balance” juice which is a fructose free juice that packs a real nutritional punch, and a little treat to end the day with – our “Peace” nut milk. Sometimes I like to add a sprinkle of cinnamon and ginger to “Peace” and gently heat it for a warm treat. If I’m feeling like I need it, instead of having this in the evening I would have my “Peace” for a mid afternoon pep up.

Being a yoga teacher, I love learning about holistic Ayurvedic healing and how food supports your Dosha or constitution. My Ayurvedic constitution is Vata so I need warm, grounding foods to bring my mind back into my body and to keep my digestive fire strong. You can discover your own Ayurvedic constitutuon here. For that reason, I choose our grounding, warming options. The Warm Cleanse is also a great option for Vata constitutions.

I do best when I start my morning with “Energise” with a splash of hot water in it. The lemon juice signals my gall bladder to secrete bile which helps with digestion. I’ll then warm up “Prana” over the stove, our delicious mineral rich vegan broth which is an easily digestible elixir for early on in the day. At about 10am, I’ll reach for our “Courage” juice loaded with warming and grounding spices like ginger and turmeric, but take it out of the fridge about 20 minutes before I drink it. I know it’s the perfect temperature for me when the condensation has disappeared from outside the glass.

At lunchtime (around 1pm), I’ll reach for our creamy “Dreamtime” soup heated gently in a pan. This is my favourite of all of our elixirs… slightly nutty, of course creamy, and so dreamy! Depending on my day, I’ll have our beautifully grounding “Wandering” soup for dinner at around 6pm, once again heated over the stove, and finish off with an after dinner treat of our crowd pleasing “Peace” cashew nut milk warmed up with a scoop of our Cacao superfood latte powder in it. If I’m having one of those relentless 3pm slumps, I’ll take my cacao infused “Peace” milk then instead to get me through the afternoon. This is also a great option for coffee drinkers – it delivers you the cozy ritual of a warm beverage without the caffeine!
