Questions you might have before you decide to cleanse.

How often can I cleanse?

Every person is different with a different body type and different lifestyle. It depends on what feels right for you. Some prefer to do one 5 day cleanse every 6 months to a year. Some prefer to cleanse at the change of the seasons while others prefer to cleanse once a month. Listen to your body, experiment and determine what works best for you.

When is the best time to cleanse?

Because there are so many various reasons to cleanse, there is no “perfect” time for a cleanse. Many people often desire to do a cleanse during a change in seasons (spring clean), after the holidays, before a special event or when they are looking to get back on track to a healthy lifestyle. Which cleanse level should I do?

Great question! If it's your first time cleansing, we normally suggest people start out on our level one cleanse. If you are unsure, you can also check out our awesome quiz: which cleanse level should I do?

Is my body getting all the nutrients it needs?

We have carefully designed our cleanses to ensure that you are receiving sufficient nutrients for healthy normal functioning. You are receiving an abundance of essential vitamins and minerals from the fruit and vegetable juices. The nut milks contain protein and the dahls contain protein as well as fibre.

What about fibre?

If you are concerned about getting enough fibre we suggest doing a Level 1 cleanse as it has the highest fibre content. You will be receiving fibre in the smoothies as well as from the legumes in the dahl. You will also be receiving organic psyllium husks to support bowel movements while you are cleansing.

Should I keep taking my supplements while I am cleansing?

In general, if you are taking vitamins, minerals or other supplements you can continue taking these while you are cleansing. If you are required to take supplements with food or if you have concerns, please check with your health provider to see if you should keep taking them, or if cleansing is appropriate for your condition.

Should I keep taking my medications while I am cleansing?

If you are currently taking prescription medications it is recommended that you speak with your health provider before undergoing a juice cleanse.

Will I lose weight?

You may lose weight while doing this cleanse. Our cleanses are intended as a healthy lifestyle transformation and not a quick weight loss fix. Ideally, your body will change along with your attitude toward food. You can keep the weight off if you continue to eat well and exercise. One of the benefits of cleansing is reduced food cravings which will help you to eat healthier after the cleanse and keep yourself looking and feeling fabulous.

Can I spread the cleanse out throughout the week? Skip days?

This is not recommended. It is best to do the cleanse in consecutive days if you choose to do a 3 or 5 day cleanse. If this feels too challenging for you at the moment stick to a 1 day cleanse and progress to a longer cleanse when you feel ready.

Our juice has a four day shelf life so if you do need to take a break, you can elect to freeze your juices.

I have allergies to lactose, wheat, nuts, soy. Can I still do the cleanse?

If you have particular allergy concerns please email us at info@solcleanse.com and we can come up with a solution for you. Please note, our facility does handle nuts, soy and eggs.

Are there any conditions under which I should not cleanse?

Cleansing is not recommended for:

  • Pregnant and breast feeding women. This is because toxins are released during a cleanse and can pass into the bloodstream or breast milk, and the calories in the cleanse will not be sufficient to sustain both mother and child.
  • people that are losing weight due to an illness
  • children under the age of 16
Are there medical conditions that need professional health care supervision whilst cleansing?

Yes, please consult your health care practitioner before embarking on a cleanse if you have any of these conditions:

  • Advanced heart, liver or kidney disease
  • Diabetes
  • Eating disorders
  • MCAD deficiency
  • Kidney dysfunction
  • Tuberculosis
  • Hyperglycemia
  • Mentally or emotionally unstable or unwell

It is recommended to consult a health care professional before cleansing if you have any specific health concerns.

Questions you might have about your order.

Can I make changes to my order once it has been placed?

Any changes to orders, including delivery locations or delivery dates must be made at least 24 hours prior to the delivery date on your order. Please send all changes through to info@solcleanse.com. We begin pressing orders at 4:30am on the day of your delivery so the team are busy in the kitchen and thus our email account is not manned 24/7.

Can I swap elixirs in a cleanse?

No, our cleanse levels come as they are and no changes are accepted. However, if you would like to alter a cleanse, our Custom Cleanse option is the way to go as you can build your own cleanse based on your needs.

What time will my cleanse arrive?

You will generally receive your cleanse between 4pm - 10pm. 5-day cleansers, you will receive a delivery on both Monday and Thursday evenings - your first 3 days and your last 2 days in separate deliveries to ensure optimum freshness of your juices.

Please understand that with many deliveries, traffic, unpredictable road conditions, etc. there may be a delay in times, but we do strive to have all cleanses delivered on time.

Can my cleanse arrive at a specific time?

No, We cannot guarantee specific times as many variables dictate the delivery routes. Please ensure that if you finish work at 5pm - you leave a home address not a business address on your order with instructions on where we can leave it safely.

Can the driver notify me with an estimate of delivery time?

When placing your order, please include in your delivery notes a request for our driver to contact you when he is close.
