OUR STORY

Sol Cleanse is passionate about creating abundance in happiness and health among our growing customer community. From farm to fridge, we offer home-delivered healthy, whole-food, nutritious and organic products to take people on a journey towards holistic health.

Throughout our journey there have been 5 main driving forces behind Sol Cleanse:

  1. Provide outstandingly fresh and healthy organic products, providing nutrient-dense elixirs and programs to help people raise their full potential, and feel fabulous in the process, without compromising on taste!
  2. Educating and connecting the community to real nutrition and organic produce – enabling them to become more in tune with their bodies and true nutritional needs, to connect more deeply with nature, and hence more in tune with themselves.
  3. We support the Organic Industry in Australia (and more specifically local Organic farmers). We play our part in raising the awareness of the importance of Organic food to allow the Organic Industry to grow – ultimately making Organic produce and holistic eating more available and accessible.
  4. As big believers in supporting the health of our planet, sustainability is at the core of everything we do as a business. From plastic-free packaging, a recycling program for our glass packaging and sending our fruit pulp to local organic livestock farmers are just some examples. All of our practices are constantly reviewed and improved to achieve as minimal impact as possible.
  5. Understanding the needs of our customers enables us to continuously refine our offering and improve the Sol Cleanse experience. We measure the success of our business by the feedback we receive from our community.

Meet the Owners

Sol Cleanse Founder + Co-Owner

Miriam Ter Borg

Miriam created Sol Cleanse in 2012 with a deep passion for health and well-being. Her insight led her to launch the first cold-pressed juice company in the region, and began delivering organic juice cleanses to the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Byron Bay and the Sunshine Coast.

Miriam brings a long history of all things organic and holistic well-being from an “alternative” childhood (her mother is a nutritionist) full of organic produce, yoga, legumes, and kombucha … way before it was trendy! This love has evolved into creating Sol Cleanse.

With a background in holistic health, a degree in psychology, and as a qualified health coach, Miriam is fulfilled by supporting people as they connect with real whole foods, and to themselves on a deeper level as they cleanse.

Larrissa Cunningham

Larrissa joined Sol Cleanse in 2015, and entered into business partnership with Miriam in 2017.

Larrissa's deep wonder for the plant world was seeded as a small child exploring vegetable gardening in her Pop's backyard, which naturally evolved into a passion over time and then further explored at university studying environmental economics and international food systems.

Now through her studies in permaculture design, she has found her calling of exploring how food is deeply connected to our culture, our health and the health of the earth, and loves applying these learnings to Sol Cleanse.

Larrissa is also an experienced Vinyasa and Yin yoga teacher and loves weaving her own vision of holism throughout all facets of the business.
