When the digestive system is in overdrive, working to digest heavy meats and fast foods, processed foods, alcohol, coffee, sugar, all these processed foods, our immune system which is where a lot of our cleansing and detoxification comes from, it takes a back seat because all of our energy is centered around digesting these foods. But once we remove some of the burden from the digestive system, our body, which is our own best healer, like we are designed to keep ourselves alive, we are constantly in a state of removing unwanted cells, recycling, repairing, healing constantly everyday, it's why we sleep, its to repair and to get ourselves back to that level of homeostasis - and were so amazing, were such amazing creatures we do that so well, but we just need to support the body to do what it was designed to do. So having more nourishing foods, more simple and gentle foods, really allows our body to just do the work.

In this episode, co-host Larrissa and guest speaker Chasca Summerville talk about Ayurvedic cleansing according to your Dosha.
