Join Tanya as she navigates her 3-day Warm Cleanse program, discussing health, movement, and cleansing during Melbourne's cooler season.

Meet Tanya Ali-Jani, a Melbourne-based Meditation Teacher, Breathwork Facilitator, and Sound Healing Practitioner. We join her during her 3-day Warm Cleanse program to discuss all things health, movement, and cleansing in the Melbourne winter. Discover how this holistic approach supported her wellness and practice.

Winter in Melbourne can be chilly. How did the Warm Cleanse support your body and wellness during this season?

Winter in Melbourne can be really chilly, but I must admit, as much as I love warm weather, there is nothing like getting cozy indoors. As someone who has done the summer and juice cleanses, I truly loved the warm cleanse and its addition of broths and nourishing soups. It warmed my insides and made me feel wholesome, keeping me full and content. This cleanse provided a comforting balance that supported my body’s needs during the colder months and I felt full and satisfied the entire cleanse.

Can you share any specific experiences or benefits you noticed while doing the Warm Cleanse in terms of your energy levels, mood, or overall well-being?

I definitely always notice a sense of clarity and calm with all your cleanses. I can think more clearly, my body feels light, and so does my mind. This cleanse, in particular, seemed to enhance my overall well-being by grounding me and boosting my energy levels, even in the midst of winter which I think gave me the perfect reset. I felt my energy was more stable throughout the day and I also noticed I slept so much better.

As a sound healer and meditation practitioner, how do you feel the Warm Cleanse complemented your practice during the winter months?

As someone who holds space for hundreds of people every month, giving back to myself in this physical way has been amazing. I am a big believer in balancing the body, mind, and spirit, so doing this cleanse—especially just before the Bali retreat I am hosting—has created a level of expansion and nourishment for me. It provided a much-needed reset, enhancing my ability to do what I do with more energy and lightness. I also noticed within my own meditation practice, I was able to drop in deeper more quickly than usual, I felt ‘less dense’ in every sense of the word.

What was your favourite aspect of the Warm Cleanse, whether it was a particular elixir or meal, a self-care practice, or a feeling you experienced?

Oh I loved everything but I would have to say my favorite was the dahl; it’s so warming and nourishing, and I looked forward to it every day. I also love the herbal tea, being really conscious while brewing the tea, sipping and smelling it, making it a ceremony in itself. I also always love the morning energise to kick start my metabolism. Just all of it really brought a sense of comfort and satisfaction. These elements made the cleanse not only manageable but truly enjoyable for me which I think many people worry about. But I felt satisfied, nourished from the inside out.

How did the Warm Cleanse impact your daily routine, and did you find it manageable to incorporate into your lifestyle during the colder months in Melbourne?

At first, I wondered if it would be harder to do during the colder months, but I really feel with the addition of the soups and broth, I felt so full and not hungry at all. I made sure to avoid strenuous activities and added magnesium baths and reflexology to further aid my detoxification. These adjustments made the cleanse seamlessly fit into my winter routine and I paired it with digital detoxing as well.

Can you share any tips or advice for others in the Melbourne community who might be considering trying the Warm Cleanse during winter?

I could not recommend it enough. If you are someone who needs a reset, feels run down (like I did), and wants a nourishing cleanse that is supportive, healthy, and leaves you feeling more than satisfied, this is the one to try. I would also say if you do decide to do the cleanse, try to pair it with a digital detox as-well which is what I did. I made sure to be conscious of what I absorbed from what I watched and listened to and even conversations around me. I feel this just made the experience feel like a retreat in its own way and I finished it feeling so much lighter.
